Building, Balancing, Becoming: My Year as a Mum-Entrepreneur

About 2 years ago, I made a decision that changed everything — I stepped into entrepreneurship not to achieve more, but to be more. I had completed postgraduate studies, pushed myself academically, and followed the traditional path of growth… yet something inside me still felt unfinished.
I wanted to build something that mattered to busy mums like me — women who are exhausted but still show up for their families every day. That dream led me to create self-care tools that encourage emotional wellness and rest.
But nothing could have prepared me for how hard it would be to show up online. Sharing parts of myself made me uncomfortable and vulnerable. Consistency demanded discipline I didn’t know I had. And trying to grow my audience almost drained me — I kept asking myself, what’s the secret behind gaining just 500 followers?
Yet, along the way, I discovered something powerful: I am not alone. So many women are stretched thin but still carry their homes, their families, and themselves with quiet strength.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I didn’t know I could be an entrepreneur. I didn’t know my story could motivate others. I didn’t realise I had confidence waiting to be used.
I’m grateful to organisations like Digital Boost, Super Working Mum, and Smart Stewards for providing training and support when I needed it most.
As I move into the new year, I’m taking patience, resilience, consistency, and courage with me — and the belief that I’m building something meaningful, step by step.
To everyone who follows, comments, shares, encourages, buys, or leaves reviews — thank you. You remind me that this journey is worth it.
