Are your affirmation books only for Black children?

Our affirmation books celebrate ALL children. We have titles that specifically represent Black children — because representation matters — as well as books that are for every child regardless of background.

All books sold on this website are printed to order, meaning each item is created specifically after your order is placed and is not held in stock.

Product images and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible. Colours and appearance may vary slightly due to printing processes and screen settings.

3. Orders & Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£)
Payment is required in full at the time of ordering
An order confirmation email will be sent once payment has been received

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if there is an issue with payment, availability, or suspected misuse of the website.

4. Shipping

Orders are typically printed and dispatched within 3–7 working days. At checkout, customers select their preferred delivery speed and pay accordingly:

Royal Mail: 2–5 working days after dispatch
Standard Tracked: 3–4 working days after dispatch
Priority Tracked: 1–2 working days after dispatch
DPD Next Day Courier: next working day after dispatch

Total delivery time = production time + chosen postage speed. Delivery times are estimates and may vary, particularly during busy periods. Once your order has been dispatched, responsibility for delivery timing passes to the postal or courier service.

5. Returns & Refunds

Because all items are printed to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrectly placed orders. However, if your item arrives damaged, contains a printing fault, or is incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at store@ruthymichaels.com with your order number and a photo where possible. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

6. Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once printing has begun. If you contact us immediately after placing your order, we will do our best to help, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, illustrations, designs, and books — is the property of Ruthy Michaels and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual property rights.

8. Limitation of Liability

Delays caused by postal or courier services
