What Do Mums Really Want for Mother’s Day?

A colouring page titled “ I am authentic” is being coloured. This page is taken from “ Positive Affirmations for Black Women.”

Mother’s Day is coming.

Every year, we see the same things suggested — flowers, chocolates, maybe a meal out.

And those are lovely.

But I’ve been thinking about something else lately.

Many mums I know are simply tired.

They carry a lot every day.

School runs.
Work.
Family schedules.
Emotional support for everyone.

And yet they rarely pause.

Sometimes self-care isn’t a spa day or a weekend away.

Sometimes it’s simply ten quiet minutes.

A moment to sit down.

A page to colour.
A journal to write in.
A quiet cup of tea.

Small things that help a woman breathe again.

That’s why I create colouring books and guided journals designed for busy women who carry a lot.

With Mother’s Day approaching, I’ve curated a small collection of books that make thoughtful gifts for mums — something gentle, meaningful, and easy to fit into real life.

If you’re thinking about Mother’s Day, you can explore the collection here:

Sometimes the most meaningful gift isn’t something big.

Sometimes it’s simply a moment to pause.

I’ve created a free affirmation colouring page just for you.

You can receive it by joining the email list on my home page, and I’ll send it straight to your inbox.
